Pie crust

1 stick or a quarter pound of butter. Soft but not melted

1 cup flour

2 Tablespoons cold water.


Mix together the flour and the butter until crumbly. Add water to form a dough. Flour the work surface and roll the dough out in a circle to fit a pie pan.

Add filling and bake as directed in the pie receipt/recipe



This dough works for crackers roll out and cut into small squares. Bake 10 minutes.

Pop tarts: roll out and cut into 6 rectangles, just add some apple butter to the center and smash the edges with a fork. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes. Glaze the tops with a glaze of powder sugar and milk. It should be just thin enough to pour.
